Parks Advocate . Artist

 

A decade ago, Amy asked me to help her create a web presence that combined her lifelong passions: parks advocacy work and her art. This 2.0 version uses her art as page backgrounds and redesigns the homepage with a parallax scroll to make it easier for site visitors to navigate to information they are seeking, and to explore Amy's art.

There is a reason Amy is considered the mother of the Golden Gate National Parks. Her decades of parks advocacy efforts were instrumental in its creation. This site presents the awards she received, books she has written, and her expert presence in films on this subject.

 

Amy dedicated her life's work to better the parks of the Bay Area. She strives to bring together observed and emotional reality into one image with her art. She has accomplished at both. Please have a look.
