Mid-Century Modern Showpiece

 

Marty Arbunich is the publisher of CA Modern, a quarterly magazine dedicated to the restoration and refurbishment of mid-century modern homes.

 

In 2003, Marty and a few partners purchased a one-of-a-kind Eichler, the X-100 in order to preserve it. Years later, Arbunich took on the sole ownership of this home and the full responsibility of its future. The results - a restored and refurbished Eichler with rich history, including a historic1950s film clip announcing its unique innovations to the world in an International Newsreel which played in movie theaters across the country. Today, the X-100 has earned a position on the National Register of Historic Places.

In many ways, the Eichler X-100 and this site is the culmination of 30 plus years of Marty's dedication and passion with no room for compromise. It was a pleasure and an honor to be a part of helping to tell this important story in mid-century modern architecture history.
